So glad you’ve come to this page for an introduction.
I was born in Athens, Georgia, but grew up in Hialeah, Florida (next to Miami). My interests over the years have always included photography, graphic design, history, writing, music, and teaching. Can you tell just by my list, there are not enough hours in the day to do everything I love to do?!!
I left Miami, Florida to go to Fort Worth, Texas for graduate studies. David Packard left Seattle, Washington to go to the same school. We like to say we’ve been meeting in the middle ever since! We were married in 1973 and two years later, we moved back to David’s beautiful Northwest.
Do I miss South Florida? Yes, even the humidity and bugs. Don’t miss the hurricanes…but we lived through the eruption of Mt. St. Helens, just 35 miles away from our Washington home!
We have two incredible adult children. Our daughter is in her doctoral studies and our son is working on his undergraduate degree. I won’t even begin to tell you how many books we have in our home!!
We are fortunate our daughter captured this moment of spontaneous laughter in 2006.
